The S.O.C. has a board of directors that consists of five osteopaths selected among the osteopaths awarded a diploma, and is assisted by a student representative.  All members are required to be either studying or working within the field of Osteopathy, or to work as a osteopath D.O. The president is elected by the members of the board.  The mandates consist of a one year duration in which the members of the board are not paid
